The best thing about being a brand strategist is working with cool people on great projects and consulting with Urban Marketing of America is a collaboration packed with creative inspiration. Consulting on a variety of entertainment and sports media projects as an Online Marketing Strategist has given me the opportunity to spread my wings even wider than ever.
Creating online campaigns that span entertainment projects for film studios and television networks, celebrities like Tyler Perry and Sports stars like LeBron James, keeps me on my toes always creating the hot new ways to reach a wide variety of audiences. My speciality lately...creating marketing campaigns on prominent social networking sites and game apps for Facebook and MySpace that help generate the buzz.

Rarely do projects not only excite the imagination and creativity of a brand strategist, but also serve to create positive impact on changing the world. Brought in as a Brand Strategy and Marketing Advisor by LongTale International for this extraordinary movie based on the remarkable study by the Institute for Economics and Peace and backed by the United Nations, The Global Peace Index, the opportunity to create a larger to the public offering has come about. Currently acting as a Board of Advisor member, Alexandra is working with the founders to create an array of earth changing campaigns to help foster global peace. These include online campaigns, marketing outreach, live events, seminars and unique global leadership training forums. This is an ongoing project with exciting potential for high profile global impact and endorsed by extraordinary people such as President Jimmy Carter, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Mr. Kofi Annan, Professor Muhammad Yunus as well as Amnesty International.

January 2009 --The excitement continues as the whirling Brand Dervish spins out great online marketing campaigns for LongTale International, an international film distribution company. Not only was Alexandra Sokol brought on board to create a marketing plan for the company's online distribution services, but is now an Advisory Board member of LongTale International for experiential marketing, online and mobile distribution. LongTale represents an award winning slate of independent films.
SkiSpace Launches from the Hill
January 2008 - SkiSpace.com Launches onto the Slopes

After an exciting fast paced two months of finger frantic typing and long hours, Olympic Ski Champion Bodi Miller's social networking site SkiSpace was delivered to the anxiously awaiting snow maniac fans. heading the Brand Voice creation and Content Team, and writing much of the site, Alexandra Sokol threw her expertise onto a fast track to pull off this exciting wonder (including writing marketing email blasts and campaigns, the full site copy, running a team of 3 writers, directing branded language and ensuring consistancy of voice and adding to forum content and blogging....Ice Hotel articles anyone?!)

Vi-Net Delivers a Unique Way to Network Market

Back to back launches of both ViSalus Science® corporate site and the new network markting Vi-Net social media site were a monumental accomplishement! The first beta Launch of Vi-Net's marketing site took place in May 2008 with a complete redesign and full site launch last month (October 2008). Responsible for developing a brand tone for both ViSalus™ and Vi-Net, Alexandra Sokol took on the task of being the primary copywriter as well. Vi-Net launches right on time for ViSalus™' VITALITY event in Las Vegas to the roar of the ViSalus crowds!
Responsible not only for all site copy and emails, Alexandra also handled creating a series of health quizzes, wrote all online shopping product descriptions, ad banners, corporate bios and tours as well. You know you are at the top of your game when you can actually write 46 pages of copy in one day!

MTDN Saving the World One Project at a Time!
Make The Difference Network hit the virtual public in March of 2008 with the help of PathConnect's great web team and Alexandra Sokol's branded voice direction.Together with Actress Jessica Biel and other heavy hitter celebrities, the social network for micro-funding nonprofit projects was finally realized with the help of the PathConnect team once again. This time, working with MTDN's partners, Alexandra Sokol acted as the brand voice continuity and primary copywriter for the entire site.The site posed unique challenges since it had to be written in three different versions for three different User audiences. It required extensive written directions and specialized material for nonprofit organizations, as well as a variety of additional content pieces for the business and private sector User. A variety of teaser marketing emails were created, online tours, 'tips of the day' emails and general infirmation emails. MTDN was a heart-felt project that required streatching Sokol's normally more corporate, entertainment, advertising slick voice into a tone that would reflect the client's needs for the site.
We'll all look forward to seeing where MTDN goes next.
